Kings & Queens

Kings

Midas

Midas is a sepia snow marbled bengal. This means he has 2 copies of the Burmese gene giving him is tannish brown coloration. He is also a carrier of the blue gene and of glitter coat. We hope to utilize Midas in our program to expand our palate of colors as well as the addition of glitter coats into our Topaz.

Gordias aka Gordy

(Midas x Gabby)

Gordias is a blue tabby that is from our Midas x Gabby litter. He is a sepia carrier. Our hope for him is to be a replacement for his father in our program. We do not have any specific breeding plans for him at this time as he is not old enough to breed.

Aceon aka “Ace”

Ace is a lilac Thai Oriental that we purchased from another breeder. We hope to use him for some genetic diversity for our program.

Queens

Astrid

Astrid is a solid lilac (blue + chocolate) female from old style siamese lines. The breeder we purchased her from focuses on producing siamese marked and solids in blue, chocolate, and lilac. Astrid still has to complete her genetic testing but we do know she carries the siamese pointed gene, which we will have to breed out. Due to her color she will be a wonderful addition to our program and is our second source of the chocolate gene.

Miracle (Merlin x Chupa)

Miracle was produced here at PLC. She is a black bicolor and has the dominant blue eyed (DBE) gene. She will be a replacement for her mother going into the future. She is a carrier for the glitter gene and we are going to be testing her to see if she inherited the dilute (blue) gene from her dad. She will also be a carrier for rosette markings since Chupa is her mom. This is not something we specifically intend to continue on/work with, but I am sure it’ll help produce some gorgeous kittens into the future.

Goblin

Goblin is another outcross for this project. She is a half Siberian and half Oriental Shorthair, but definitely takes after the Siberian more. She is a co-own with another cattery and is bringing in some strong and healthy genetics to our line. We cannot wait to see the beautiful kittens she will produce.

Cybele aka “Bele”

(Midas x Gabby)

Cybele is a blue tabby that is from our Midas x Gabby litter. She is a sepia carrier. Our hope for her is to be a replacement for her mother in our program. We do not have any specific breeding plans for her at this time as she is not old enough to breed.

Choc Tortie

Info to be added

Cookie

Cookie is an almost all solid black DBE girl from another breeder. Her lineage is shared with our other DBE origins and we are confident that she shares the same DBE gene version that we are already working with while having a pedigree removed enough from our other cats as to not cause any loss of genetic diversity. She is long haired, which is not our goal but we are excited to have another DBE to work with.

Enola

Enola is a dilute tortie and white that was added to our cattery from another breeder. She is a cinnamon carrier and we are very excited to be able to work with this gene. She has produced a litter previously so we are only thinking she will be bred 1-2 times for us prior to retirement. She is a super sweet girl. She is a bit small for our overall goals but still a welcome addition here at PLC.

Josephine aka “Josie”

Josie is a stunning silver bengal. She has not yet had her genetic testing done and is still far too young to breed. But we are hopeful she will be a great addition to our program.

Lyra

Lyra is a beautiful torbie with great bone structure and size. She has high genetic diversity at 41% and will be a great addition to our program when she is old enough to breed.

Previous Breeding Cats

Chern is an orange tabby bicolor and is actually Merlin’s son but was not bred by me. Up until recently he was with another breeder and when the opportunity arose to get him I couldn’t pass up the chance. He is super loving and outgoing. He is a dilute and pointed carrier like his father. He will be a great addition to the program and he just recently sired his first litter for us.

Chernoborg

Gabby

Gabby is a proven breeding female DSH (domestic short hair) that has joined our program in hopes of introducing another source of the blue/dilute coloration and increase our lines genetic diversity. She has a super sweet personality that we hope transfers over to her kittens. She is currently pregnant and was bred to Merlin. We hope to keep a DBE daughter back as her replacement. She has completed her genetic testing and we are thrilled by the results for genetic diversity and health. She is a carrier of the gene that causes the Siamese coloration which is not ideal for our projects (blue eyed naturally and difficult to distinguish from DBE) but this will be managed with carefully planned breedings and continued genetic testing on kittens she produces.

Jupiter

Jupiter is a TICA registered Persian for Minuet breeding, she is standard legged. She is a Tortie Smoke and has a gorgeous coat and color. She is super sweet and laid back. She was added to the program due to her smoke coloration and she is a dilute carrier.

Merlin is a black bicolor Topaz cat and was the founding stud of our program.
